JOB OVERVIEW
- Responsible for processes requisition of telecom equipment & misc. items as per the SOP's
- Manages solicitation for bids, negotiations, plan prioritization, transparency in bidding process, and structural cost reduction.
- Ensures the delivery schedule meet quality specifications of the material.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational Activities
•Prepare and process cases for supply of telecom equipment/material as per company’s prevailing policies and standard operating procedure.
•Participates in tender openings / evaluation as and when nominated by Management.
•Participates and/or assists in negotiations as and when directed by Senior Manager/Contracts. Scrutinizes all relevant documents/files prior to negotiations to gather relevant data and to ensure accuracy.
Coordination Activities
•Initiates, checks and follows up draft contracts in co-ordination with concerned sections/departments and the prospective contractor.
•Reviews Legal, Commercial and Technical department vetting on draft contract or contract related issues to ensure that necessary and/or agreed upon amendments are incorporated in the draft contract or conveyed to the concerned party.
•Highlights any serious or significant or complex issue to Senior Manager/Contracts and provides wherever required or necessary, suggestions to preserve and protect the PTCL’s interest. •Reviews/studies non-standard draft agreements/contracts and put forth comments or observations to Senior Manager/Contracts
Follow-up of Contracts
•Exercises close follow up of contracts implementation in co-ordination with respective departments as per follow up system to ensure that contractors adhere to terms of agreements.
•Reviews comments received from Contractors/respective departments, studies and investigates the same, discusses issues with respective departments/customers where necessary, resolves minor issues raised.
•Searches for and studies new local Government or International rules, regulations, or practices and reports its effects on the Corporation Contracts.
•Maintain high level of transparency and fairness in all sorts of tenders/ prequalification/ vendor registration falling in his jurisdiction.
Undertake Performance Management
•Monitor and evaluate reporting employees.

REQUIREMENTS
Education: Advanced degree in Business Administration / Supply Chain/ Finance
Expertise: Extensive experience in relevant field
