Program Background Summary:  


 


The USAID-funded Pakistan Reading Project (PRP), implemented by the International Rescue Committee and its partners, Creative Associates International, World Learning, and Institute of Rural Management, is working with the objective to support the provincial and regional departments of education throughout Pakistan to improve the reading skills of children in grades one and two. The project aims to achieve this goal through three distinct but interrelated components that work in synergy to affect the quality of early grade education: improved classroom learning environment for reading, improved policies and systems for reading, and community based support for reading in Pakistan. 


Work Location: Abbottabad and Mansehra (3 days in each district)


Responsibilities:



  • Assist all aspects of day to day operations in districts Abbottabad and Mansehra.

  • Assist to ensure completeness of payment documents in compliance to defined policies and procedure

  • Assist making the cash payments to beneficiaries or training participants when required.

  • Assist in reviewing all payment documents for proper and adequate back up before submitting to Islamabad Office.

  • Assist District Managers in preparing Monthly cash/funds forecasting for Field office

  • Support to supervise all administration activities in the district office on daily basis.

  • Assist Program department and staff in the implementation of administrative systems and procedures in their respective departments.

  • Provide support to maintain inventory records for office supplies.

  • Assist to ensure timely filing of paperwork and supporting documents in administration files

  • Support District Manager in organizing office events, lunches, meetings etc.

  • Assist in ensuring a consistent and excellent transportation support at district level.

  • Assist to ensure proper use of PRP vehicles, maintain logs sheets for finance for audit purposes and recommend modifications as needed.

  • Assist in Fuel management, preparing of fuel and maintenance reports.


Common duties


a.       Perform other duties as may be assigned from time to time.


b.      Any other task assign by the line manager.
