The Vice President of Logistics is responsible for implementing operational strategy which is fully committed to excellent customer service as a core belief. This leader will be charged with creating an effective strategy then leading the execution of an improved logistics program that achieves Company goals of safety, quality, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Work as a high performing teammate with Operations and Sales/Service.

Responsibilities will include:

• Establish and ensure regional operations and delivery standards for on-time delivery, cost reduction, quality, safety, employee relations and other performance measures

• Update logistics policies in the areas of driver and distribution scheduling, route optimization, vehicle maintenance, capacity utilization, and customer satisfaction

• Recommend and implement strategic changes in service strategy

• Ensure quality assurance tasks are completed effectively and efficiently by Logistics management teams, to facilitate timely and thorough responses to customer issues and increased customer satisfaction

• Develop standard costing parameters allowing the company to develop consistent and reliable pricing and margin models while supporting innovation and cost competitiveness

• Knowledge of current regulatory and ISO requirements and trends which affect our industry to update all within Angelica of best practices and our results

• Ability to help management teams balance planning, procurement and logistics requirements with business requirements and identify solutions to meet those requirements

• Ensures all business activities are in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations meeting the highest quality standards, including meeting delivery and customer expectations in the industry

• Participate or lead in Teamster negotiations and regular interface with union leadership.

Individual Must Possess:

• University degree in applicable field (Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, I.T)

• 3-5 years of experience as Vice President Logistics in distribution and E-commerce. 

• Proven ability to evaluate profit and loss financial statements, setting and achieving metrics

• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written skills. Professional and confident presenting at an executive management level and at customers when addressing customer issues

• Must possess excellent judgment, problem-solving, multi-tasking, and decision-making skills
