| Job Description: |
Objectives:
- To manage the ETTM Operations, Conduct of feasibility and systems study to identify areas suitable for computerization and selection of appropriate computer hardware for various users of the Department and finalization of terms and conditions for purchase with the approval of appropriate authorities.
Role and Responsibilities:
- To supervise Development, testing and documentation of ETTM application and other software packages.
- Implementation of ETTM software packages at various computer centers of Company including on-the-job training and monitoring the progress of implementation.
- Selection of sites for installation of computer hardware, preparation of sites, installation of computer systems, conducting acceptance tests and making the system operational.
- Maintenance of computer hardware and finalization of terms and conditions of the annual maintenance contract.
- Monitoring of the performance of installed computer hardware and periodic evaluation of the needs of additional hardware.
- Identification of training requirements of Company in the field of computers.
- Conduct or arrange suitable trainings of various levels at various locations of Company to build up in-house expertise in the field of ETTM / computers at various operational levels.
- Coordination of all activities relating to the smooth functioning of all ETTM locations of Company.
- Evaluation of the requirements of technical manpower to man the ETTM offices of Company and maintain suitable headcount manpower from within and outside Company.
- Planning and co-ordination of all activities relating to setting up and functioning of ETTM technology at Company.
- Maintenance of the national databases pertaining to Company application software.
- Ensuring security of the databases.
- Undertaking of special projects to enhance the speed of work flows in the Department for ensuring better taxpayer services and tax compliance.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree (M.S Computer Sciences) or equivalent
Experience:
- 7- 10 years related experience and/or training
