Project Coordinator (B2B Project)

Duties and Responsibilities
· Field implementation of project activities through planning & provision of technical support to the field staff and target communities.
· Plan & implement Cotton value chain assessment studies in project areas with the collaboration of specialized consultants.
- Receive and arrange for reproduction and circulation of reports, studies and other Project documentation from consultants as appropriate.
· Plan and organize consultative workshops to devise standards for harvest and post-harvest processes from farm to gin including intermediary supply chain actors and shared standards with relevant authorities & policy makers.
· Provide technical guidance to project team for conducting baseline to identify gaps in prevailing practices from farm to gin including intermediary supply chain actors with reference to fiber quality preservation.
· Develop practicable field practices pertaining to contamination prevention, trash abatement & fiber quality preservation in collaboration with project team.
· Plan and organize training events, on-site technical for growers, cotton pickers, intermediary supply chain actors (Middlemen, Commission Agents and Transporters), ginners and workers (market and gin workers) with the support of project team.
- Maintain a close liaison with relevant stakeholders and govt. authorities.
· Ensure effective mechanism for Better Cotton sourcing & bale tracking from growers to ginners and towards supplier through Better Cotton Tracker system.
· Build the capacities of traders/middle men and cotton selectors to adopt fiber quality standards at different transition points of raw cotton.
· Assist & guide project team in conducting linkage development meetings for cotton growers, traders/middle men, ginners and suppliers to promote on quality based procurement.
· Organize business trips between growers and ginners; and for different textile actors (spinners, textile, brands etc.) at farm and ginning SMEs.
- Represent and promote the Project at different forums as required and maintain close continued collaboration with the relevant stakeholders on issues related to the Project.
- Coordinate and plan various events - e.g. stakeholders meetings, conferences, seminars etc. – including the preparation of agenda and minutes of meetings/event reports etc.
- Develop internal documentation (technical reports, financial documentation, procurement requests, etc.) as per requirement of organization and donor.
- Prepare & present the Annual/quarterly/ monthly Project Activity Plan in collaboration with Manager SAFP.
- Maintain proper documentation of field activities (daily & weekly) and submit fortnightly reports to the Manager SAFP.
· Assist Manager SAFP to develop different communication material/reference material for internal and external communication.
Selection Criteria
Education, Experience & Working Knowledge
ð Master degree in agriculture or textile engineering
ð Three year Relevant Experience is desirable
