Job Description:

Assignment:


Under the supervision of the Project Manger, the Team Leader is responsible for supporting the implementation of all interventions matching with ACTED’s quality criteria and strategy, and for developing open, mutually respectful, and accountable relationships with the target communities.


Key responsibilities :


A. Implementation of WASH & FSL activities:



  • Participates in need assessments,FSL& WASH actvities, feasibility studies, stakeholder analyses and community consultations;

  • Supports the development of agreements and MoUs with community based organizations or other civil society groups.

  • Support to Sub Engineers For overall process of CFW Schemes.

  • Supporth to Finance during distribute CCG and CFW  the Cheque/ Payments.  

  • Guide and supervise the work of Community Mobilizers/Hygiene Promoters..

  • Responsible for the arrangement of hygiene promotion sessions in community.

  • Responsible for making arrangements for the distribution of Livestock Fodeer and IEC materials.

  • Mobilize the community and groups to participate in the Hygiene Promotion sessions.

  • Elaborate all needs based inputs and all other activities according to the objectives of the programme and the beneficiary involvement strategy of ACTED.

  • Mobilize communities for the prioritizing of recovery activities and strategies.

  • Facilitates the capacity building and setup of representative community committees (steering committees).

  • Ensure, through daily dialogues and consultations that the strategy of the projects and the commitments of the various stakeholders are adhered to.

  • Responsible for mainstreaming gender

  • Maximize beneficiary contribution through mobilization and running awareness campaigns in community during hygiene promotion session.

  • Participate  distributions whenever required.

  • Supports in the development of IEC materials for all activities implemented.

  • Responsible for the compilation of data and preparation of daily and weekly reports

  • Regular monitoring and reporting of the proejct


B. Documentation


Complete documentation and filing on time and in correct format. Keep track record of the attendance sheets of CHPs (Community Hygiene Promoter and Other Project Documents)

Pillar 3 – Social cohesion and access to basic services – ACTED improves access to basic services through a range of measures including support for educational institutions, community infrastructure and local governance. Social cohesion is a key component to ensuring equitable service provision. ACTED’s interventions include the establishment of local representation bodies as well as supporting the rights of women, minorities and marginalized groups;
Pillar 4 – Environmental protection and community resilience – This pillar aims to mitigate some of the effects of recurrent disasters, climate change and environmental degradation. Interventions start at a household level, such as construction of fuel efficient
